Nora the Piano Cat

nora the piano cat
Nora the Piano Cat has one of the most interesting about pages I've read so far and it's not just because she plays the piano :P Named after Leonora Carrington, Nora was adopted by Betsy and Burnell from their local pet shelter, already having five other cats at home, Nora turned out to be quite the trouble maker :P  It's quite a fun story to read and ends with Nora just wanting to be a star.

So how did Nora end up playing the Piano?  Well, Betsy and Burnell run music classes from their home, they have two pianos that Nora would watch the students play on and from there, she had a go herself!

In this interview Betsy remarked Nora had been talking more.
"I will say, 'Nora, do you want to play the piano?' And she will meow. So, maybe she has a singing career ahead of her!"  :) The Cat of many talents huh!

You can watch her playing in the video below...

Perhaps one of the coolest things to come out of Nora's talents is when conductor Mindaugas Piecaitis composed a piece of orchestral music for her, where Nora, the soloist, was brought in via video. - source
lol lol - check it out below, it's beautiful :)

The piece was even recognised by the Guiness World Records as being the First piano concerto for cat!

How awesome is this cat!!

You can follow Nora on
Or through her Website
